A phased growth strategy:
•Phase 1: Using current inventory launch online video rental service in India, China, and the US as these countries lead in # of customers, transaction count, and revenue generated
•Phase 2: Implement customer appreciation programs to recognize high lifetime value customers
•Phase 3: Expand current inventory starting with movies that are Sports and/or PG-13 as they generate the most revenue
TAKEAWAYS
•When working with larger datasets it is easier to manipulate, extract, and aggregate data in SQL than in Excel.
•Next time to improve on my analysis, I will remove films that generated no revenue from analysis.
